Mr. Samual Curtis is a licensed Professional Engineer and has built a solid 20 year background in telecommunications consulting and engineering. His accomplishments include running a profitable construction/engineering firm as well as a Wireless ISP in Oklahoma. He is a hands-on technical expert fluent in designing latest technology network solutions including design, configuration and troubleshooting IP, Video and VoIP, MPLS, and all aspects of operations and management. He is also a mature and experienced business manager, with personal experience in contract negotiations, wireless vs. wireline analysis, and business case creation. 


Ethan Van Meter

Mr. Van Meter has experience ranging from advanced technical engineering and analysis to creative artistic design. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma, and has developed competencies in Finite Element Analysis, Structural and Telecommunications engineering, design, and analysis, advanced mechanics, machine fabrication, environmental design, and 3-dimensional modeling. He also has experience managing the engineering and development of a start-up durable medical equipment product business. Since Joining STS in January of 2014, Mr. Van Meter has completed training and received certification as a trained structural analysis engineering using ERI Tower Numerics "TowerTNX" software to perform structural analysis and design of telecommunications towers. Receiving this certification also solidifies his experience with and knowledge of ANSI/TIA 222-G revision for structural analysis and wind loading. Mr. Van Meter is currently studying to receive his P.E. license under the mentorship of Samual Curtis. At STS, he has developed competencies in mapping, fiber routing and construction, preliminary construction drawings, structural analysis, and environmental prevention and protection design, including soil loss and hydrology reports. Mr. Van Meter is constantly growing and learning new engineering disciplines and software's to expand STS's services and capabilities that they are able to provide to clients.  


Melissa Corman

Ms. Corman began her career with STS in March on 2011.  She specializes in project coordination and contract management, and works closely with multiple clients, including many USDA Rural Development grant recipients.  Ms. Corman facilitates projects by consistently meeting timeline and budgetary requirements beginning with the contracting phase and continuing through project completion and closeout.  She coordinates the purchase of land, and manages contracts for surveyors, geotechnical services and archeologists.  She ensures FCC, FAA and environmental compliance through coordination with Oklahoma Historical Society, Oklahoma Archeological Survey and tribal nations.  Ms. Corman also manages the STS administrative processes by coordinating benefits and providing company-wide communication.  


LACIE STANDRIDGE

Ms. Standridge has worked extensively within many different fields as an assistant to the GM of a fully regulated ILEC. In addition she has knowledge of the transitory regulatory requirements that the deregulated and regulated operations of progressive telecommunications operations need to meet in order to migrate to services to best maximize revenue potential. As such she has helped develop pricing models and competitive analysis for triple play services for copper and FTTH facilities as well as assisted in the acquisition of new services such as IPTV programming and content rights as well as middleware and EPG integration. She has specific knowledge of the expense and revenue mechanisms from an operations perspective that a fully integrated service provider generates and has developed internal control methods for tracking plant expenses and assisted in developing new methods for keeping costs in line. She has also worked on technology specific marketing and ad campaigns and rebranding that help target new revenue streams for service providers that need to broaden their existing customer base. Extensive knowledge and administration from start to closeout of Rural Utilities Service 515, 773, 217, 397 and other various contracts is held by Ms. Standridge. Reconciliation of unit based cup sheets as well as end to end invoice management in regards to construction and asset acquisition is also a key strength. Has negotiated, reviewed and closed out multiple million-dollar plus vendor proposals and understands all elements of single source or multi bidder proposals. In addition has worked on several multi-million dollar interim financing projects and understands the processes and record keeping behind these. Has structured multiple large FRS requests for clients and possesses a broad knowledge of RUS procedures and policies and keeps up to date by regularly attending workshop classes on the subject matter.


BEN RAY

Mr. Ray serves as STS’s Sales Director, where he leads both the sales and marketing teams. He has over fifteen years experience in the Sales industry with an exemplary track record for increasing sales revenue for both large and small companies. Prior to joining STS in 2015, he served as regional sales manager for Hibu (previously Yellowbook), where he led the companies highest preforming region from 2007-2015. 

Mr. Ray is a seasoned professional with proven experience in sales, marketing, operations and project management. He brings a wealth of resources coupled with an unmatched positive demeanor. In the fast-paced and ever-changing telecommunications landscape, he delivers a level of expertise and knowledge to the benefit of both internal and external clients. 

 

 


JEFF BROWN
associate, network engineer

 

Mr. Brown studied Information Technology as part of the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) program at Francis Tuttle School of Technology. Upon Completion of school, he was rewarded the recognized CCNA certification. Before working at STS, Mr. Brown worked as a field technician and installer for residential and business clients at Atlink Services. He then worked in technical support where he excelled and developed Bit Torrent solutions and many policies now used within Atlink Technical Support. Upon completion of the Francis Tuttle Program, Mr. Brown was incorporated to the STS team where he was trained and mentored by Raj Veerappan and has been involved with installation, equipment upgrade implementation for the Atlink network core, and executing 106 networks to multiple providers in order to serve the ever growing needs of the Atlink Network. During the past three years at STS, he has been involved in the installation and upgrade of the equipment core to the Rack59 data center and has developed configurations on a wide range of network product manufacturers such as Dell, HP, Cisco, Juniper, Foundly, Netgear, and Brocade. 

 


LEONARD CONN

Mr. Conn has over 40 years of experience with computers and networks, both analog and digital. He has received training and several certifications on enterprise networks and vendor equipment including Cisco, Microsoft, and the US military as well as many others. Mr. Conn’s prior position was Chief Technical officer for a $225M CLEC venture capital startup in Austin, Texas.

 


CHANDA CURTIS
CFO

 

Mrs. Chanda Curtis has a background in business finance and accounting.  She has worked in the telecommunications industry for over 2o years.  She started her career by producing budgets and pro forma’s for independent telephone companies in the state of Oklahoma looking to expand their businesses into potential areas of wireless technology.   Chanda has a background in FCC Part 32 and 64 cost accounting as well as USDA RUS 7 CFR 1753.  She has worked in customer billing assisting intercarrier compensation for the ILEC industry.   She has experience preparing 217 engineering contracts and form 506 estimates for RUS telecommunication’s borrowers. Chanda is the CFO of STS, LLC as well as part owner.  Chanda has been responsible for all accounting, human resource and tax functions of STS since its inception.  Chanda holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance.


BENJAMEN DEES

Mr. Dees has an extensive background in Telecommunications, Network Design, and Server Administration. He has designed coax cable networks as well as wireless networks and fiber to the home. In addition to designing these networks, he has vast knowledge in troubleshooting and repair. Mr. Dees has been involved in research and development of VOIP-based services compared to wireless, inclusive of Linux-based systems. Through server administration, he has obtained ample knowledge in Linux and Windows based systems by means of monitoring core and last mile connections. He also has thorough comprehension of Solarwinds software. 


ROBERT SCHAFER
consultant, project manager

 

Mr. Schafer has 38 years of communications industry experience in management, engineering, and regulatory support.  Mr. Schafer manages client project activities, engineering design, analysis and subcontract services for STS.  He serves as a primary liaison and communicator with STS clients and contractors, providing a full spectrum of technical, engineering, and network related support.  His field and standards experience are invaluable in ensuring that project equipment and services are delivered with the highest levels of interoperability and compliance. 

Prior to joining STS, Mr. Schafer held corporate positions at Verizon, AT&T and MCI as a Distinguished Member of Technical Staff. He served as committee Chair and company representative at numerous domestic and international standards bodies and industry forums. Mr. Schafer has an Electrical Engineering Technology degree from Kansas State University-Salina. 


KERRY CONN

Ms. Kerry Conn is a successful executive with 20+ years' experience in telecommunications and contributes a unique talent to the team from both a financial and technical perspective. She has been employed by STS for 10 years. 

Ms. Conn has proven ability to apply financial and operation experience to the analysis of new industries and technologies with a unique focus on the development of financial feasibility models for both wireless and FTTH deployments for industries and municipalities. She has extensive cross-functional management experience in multiple disciplines including information technology, application development, customer operations, and process management. She has authored multiple, successful USDA RUS grant applications including four awarded from the USDA RUS Broadband Community Connect Program. Ms. Conn has significant experience managing large, complex telecommunications projects including fixed wireless deployments, tower construction, and FTTH deployments. She has a broad understanding of the financial, regulatory, and environmental requirements of tower siting and construction. Ms. Conn has an extensive understanding and significant experience with USDA RUS contracting and reimbursements procedures. She has managed the operations of multiple, large Internet Service Providers with more than 75,000 subscribers, as well as the Customer Operations of a CLEC providing DSL in the central U.S. Ms. Conn holds a certificate as a certified Public Accountant (#12940) and she holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics as well as a Bachelor of Accountancy in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma.


HAL SMITH

Mr. Smith has been with STS 10+ years, working on various projects as the Project Manager in building Atlinkwifi. He also managed installation and tower crews for 5 years while also purchasing equipment for both crews and testing and configuring equipment to be deployed to the field.  Mr. Smith was responsible for site acquisition of 30 tracts of land for towers funded by an ARRA Grant awarded to Atlinkwifi.  Mr. Smith has been a great asset in working with municipalities and water boards securing contracts for vertical real estate on towers and water towers.  Mr. Smith also does microwave back haul installation and configuration, he also has designed using AutoCad for water tower mounts used in rural water districts and for municipalities.  Mr. Smith has overseen new installation of fiber for various  projects. He also is experienced in fiber optic cable splicing and repair.  Mr. Smith has various previous work experiences as: Tool and Die, Welding, Cable TV technician, Private Process Server, and Various construction jobs 

Mr. Smith’s experience in various fields has aided him in many aspects of construction, management of field crews, sales, engineering, and customer service. 


RAJENDRAKUMAR VEERAPPAN

Mr. Rajendrakumar Veerappan has over 15 years of experience in IT and telecommunications Sectors.  He has a Bachelors in Electronics and Communication Engineering as well as a Masters in Telecommunications Engineering (MSEE) from the University of Oklahoma. Mr. Veerappan started his career working as a Java programmer.  In 2005 he joined STS as Sr. Systems Engineer.  Mr. Veerappan has a strong and versatile knowledge and experience in telecommunications, Information Technology, legacy TDM based networks, SONET, DWDM, VoIP, Cloud IAAS, OpenStack, Synnefo, Ganeti, Linux, Unix and Windows.

 


NATALIE GREGG
vice president, operations AtLink services LLC

 

Ms. Gregg has been with STS since 2012. She came to STS with extensive project management experience and has been in the internet industry for over 20 years. She has a strong focus on process and procedure coordination as well as customer relationship building. Ms. Gregg is also highly skilled in employee development, operational excellence, and positive customer experiences. She currently serves as a Consultant Project Manager for Atlink Services, where she spends her time directing the call center flow and the daily field operations. Ms. Gregg manages over 50 employees and takes time daily to develop and direct her reports to be of the best quality. She is also responsible for providing the customer experience that sets Atlink apart from other providers. 


JASON BOHANAN

Mr. Bohanan has been a key member of STS and leader at Atlink Services for more than 10 years. He possesses multiple certifications in safety, computers and information technology topics and carries a current tower climbing certification. Additionally, Mr. Bohanan is a ComTrain Certified Instructor. At STS, Mr. Bohanan is responsible for ensuring all of the towers and associated equipment of the Atlink Services Network are well managed.  


DILLON DAKOTA CARROLL
associate, environmental engineer

 

Mr. Carroll is an entrepreneur, engineer, and expert in Lean Startup and other Agile Methodologies. At STS, he performs a wide variety of cross-disciplinary functions as diverse as tower structural analysis and environmental impact reports. He is cofounder of Levaté, a startup he cofounded dedicated to designing and providing innovative, independence-enhancing products to wheelchair users. Their first product, still in development, is the Levaté wheelchair lift. It was designed with cutting-edge human centered design and experiential prototyping techniques. He works as a consultant and teacher across the world to help others apply these techniques in their own businesses. He has taught Lean Startup, Agile, and Digital Marketing to hundreds of entrepreneurs in over a dozen spaces across Europe, the US, South America, and Asia. While working at the University of Oklahoma Economic Development department, he had the opportunity to launch and lead the OU Agile Product Design program. Through this program and others, he mentored or led over 7 student startup teams including 3 practicing social entrepreneurship. He has his degree in Engineering Physics, summa cum laude, from the University of Oklahoma.
